Sr. Logistics Supervisor

IGT is seeking a Sr. Logistics Supervisor to lead and optimize the performance of our Finished Goods Shipping Team, ensuring timely and accurate outbound shipments that exceed customer expectations. This role is instrumental in driving process improvements, enhancing efficiency, and maintaining high standards to ensure smooth operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. With a focus on collaboration and excellence, this position plays a vital role in upholding IGT’s reputation for customer satisfaction and industry leadership.
 

Supervise daily operations of logistics functions, including Receiving, Warehousing, Line Side Delivery, Extraction, Shipping, and Parts Distribution. Organize high-volume shipping days, prioritize loads, and minimize truck departure delays. Develop and track metrics to measure and document process improvements during logistics activities. Define and implement process improvements on key initiatives to enhance service and delivery. Drive organizational effectiveness by focusing on eliminating waste and improving customer satisfaction. Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies to achieve measurable business results, including increased market share and profitability. Develop and maintain detailed process maps, metrics, and control plans for key logistics processes. Coordinate improvement initiatives across procurement, scheduling, production, inspection, shipping, and administrative processes. Develop effective project communication plans to ensure timely and impactful updates. Participate in developing the capacity and capability in Logistics Operations to execute the strategic plan. Attend regular meetings to provide updates on outbound shipments and address operational priorities. Conduct and participate in team meetings, KPI reviews, and staff discussions to ensure alignment on goals and performance. Ensure comprehensive documentation of processes and methodologies. Coach, mentor, and develop associates to create a strong bench of future leaders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in logistics, warehousing, or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proven ability to manage teams with a focus on accountability, quality, and safety. Hands-on experience with lean warehousing or manufacturing, including leading Kaizen events, 5S projects, and PDCA cycles. Formal training in Lean methodologies, including experience with Value Stream Management, A3, Kaizen, and other key Lean tools. Strong communication skills with expertise in organizing, developing, and presenting project information to diverse audiences. Demonstrated experience presenting and making recommendations to senior management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Over 3 years of experience improving business processes and performance. Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Advanced training in Lean methodologies with expertise in Value Stream Mapping, A3, and Kaizen tools. In-depth knowledge of shipping and warehousing practices. Experience with SAP systems. At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,177/yr - $156,700/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
