Job Title: System Administrator (NEI-19) Location: Bethesda, MD CyberData Technologies is seeking a System Administrator to manage and optimize Mac systems and virtual infrastructure. This role involves planning, monitoring, and supervising systems operations to ensure efficiency, performance, and compliance with organizational guidelines. Responsibilities: + Supervise and manage the daily configuration and operation of Mac systems and virtual infrastructure. + Oversee system operations to optimize resource utilization and performance. + Plan and monitor system capacity analysis and ensure scalability. + Manage Nutanix server clusters running VMware vSphere. + Monitor and address virtual infrastructure performance issues. + Analyze and optimize resource usage within the virtual environment. + Perform regular updates, patches, and backups following NIH security guidelines and vendor recommendations. + Manage the hardware lifecycle, including procurement, maintenance, and decommissioning, in line with ITMB standards. + Assess existing infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance system performance. + Develop and implement strategies to optimize Mac system integration and operations. + Plan and monitor user assistance efforts to ensure accessibility and efficient use of business systems. + Provide training and support to users as needed. Qualifications: Experience: + Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing Mac infrastructure and virtual environments. + Experience with VMware vSphere and Nutanix server clusters. Technical Expertise: + Advanced knowledge of Mac operating systems and enterprise-level system management. + Proficiency with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Nutanix. + Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and security protocols. Certifications (Preferred): + Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) + VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) + Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) Skills: + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent planning, supervisory, and organizational skills. + Effective communication and user support capabilities.
