Senior Mainframe Developer 
Metrics and reporting to the customer on the outcome of said testing. Maintain and developing new code (JCL,REXX,CLIST, CICS, IDMS, etc.) as required. 

Senior level developer needed to work independently that is tasked with supporting the Enterprise Architecture team. 

We are responsible for providing a full range of IT integration services and supporting a multi-platform computing environment, including: information systems modernization initiatives, software engineering, project management, infrastructure services, data warehousing, database administration, research, planning, security, federal enterprise architecture initiatives, research and all levels of Internet, Intranet and Web portal initiatives and migrating legacy architecture to web-based platforms.

Skills Requirements:

Candidate must have at least 11yrs exp.Experience with IDMS.Experience with CICS Mappers.Experience with Cobol, JCL and SQL. Error handling and debugging production control, or Job scheduling z/os (IBM mainframe) with JCL, TSO, ISPF.Experience with an industry accepted SDLC.Experience with mainframe based software configuration management systems such as ENDEVOR.Experience with supporting mainframe maintenance activities.Experience with supporting MiddleWare maintenance activities.Experience with Control-M or other mainframe based job scheduling tools.Detail oriented and committed to consistently completing repetitive production-like tasks on-time and error-free.Excellent customer relations skills.Self-starter, highly motivated individual; team player who can adapt to changes in customer requirements.

Desired skills:

Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards.Experience with developing, maintaining and troubleshooting innovative and effective Mainframe solutions.Exposure with ALC to Cobol code walkthrough.Ability to research problems and provide solutions.REXX and/or CLIST experience to automate job processing.File Aid RDX.
Additional Information:  Minimum experience and education: Candidates with a BS degree must have the minimum of  11 years or 132 months of work experience specific to the job description.  

 

If a candidate has a  Master’s degree, they still need a minimum of 11 years or 132 months of work experience but only nine years or 108months of experience specific to the job.  The other work experience to meet the 132 months does not have to be IT related.

Work experience while in college can be counted toward the overall years.

 

If no degree, work experience may be substituted.

Background clearance: All candidates selected will have to go through a Federal government background check prior to being able to start.  Generally, the background process takes between 3,4 or 5 weeks. The time is dependent on how quickly the candidate is able to complete the paperwork.

Candidates will obtain a Public Trust clearance upon approval.
