What You'll Work On
The Senior Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for manpower and resources within the maintenance, machine shop, stock room and calibration areas to ensure timely support to operations and engineering. Responsibilities include:
Drive a culture of engagement throughout the organization by providing effective leadership, direction, development, recognition, and support to the team.Attract and retain a diverse and qualified maintenance staff through effective training, succession planning strategies, and ongoing performance feedback. Develop goals for all assigned personnel. Write and conduct development plans / performance appraisals. Manage employee HR issues.Oversee the site’s preventive maintenance program by utilizing data analytics to identify trends and predict equipment failures. Develop and implement robust systems and tools to mitigate unplanned system and equipment failures, ensuring minimal disruption to production.Support and lead equipment upgrades/new installations. Recommend and implement changes in equipment operating procedures, design or configurations that improve cost performance, operational performance, efficiency, and reliability.Develop asset care roadmaps based on data analysis to safeguard expected equipment and process reliability.Manage the financial performance of the department in accordance with planned budgets. Use data-driven insights to implement spend controls and develop strategies for cost improvement.Manage site shutdown maintenance planning and execution, using historical data to schedule activities efficiently and minimize downtime.Responsible for the machine shop, stockroom and equipment storage area including 5S, control and identification of equipment and compliance.Monitor key performance indicators related to maintenance operations, leveraging data to identify trends and collaborate cross-functionally to identify and implement strategies for improvement.Work as a liaison between Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and external vendors to manage and resolve equipment related production issues.Assure adequate spare parts, tools, and other items needed to perform the maintenance, calibration, and MAXIMO system work duties.Maintain and administrate the MAXIMO/CMMS system.Assist/support other functions as needed; proactively seek ways to increase productivity (i.e., leading the identification and implementation of equipment improvements to increase productivity, while ensuring compliance to existing requirements).You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Pay and Shift
This is a salaried position working Monday through Friday on day shift. This roles supports a 24/5 manufacturing site and may be required to provide after-hours, on-call support as well as flexibility in hours which may include weekends.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field5+ years of experience in a maintenance/engineering/operations/technical role2+ years of experience in leadership roleStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong computer skillsPreferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
