Job Description

 

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Sr. Manager, Accounting to join our team working for a dynamic company in a fast-paced environment. This position will oversee the transition of accounting functions from decentralized departments to a centralized shared services center, including process analyses, data migration, training, and streamlining to improve efficiency across the organization.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 

Perform process analyses and prepare SOPs and flowcharts for key accounting functionsAnalyze existing accounting processes across different business units to identify areas for improvement and standardizationAssist in the development of new streamlined accounting workflows for the shared services center, considering best practices and efficiency gainsCommunicate the transition plan to stakeholders across different business units, addressing concerns and managing expectationsDevelop and deliver training programs to equip staff with the necessary knowledge to execute all centralized functionsCoordinate the transition of work streams from origination to destinationEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the transition activities and generate regular reports to track progressEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls and identify potential risks

 

Qualifications

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA and/or MBA highly preferred10+ years of experience with evidence of assuming roles of greater complexity, responsibility and accountabilityManufacturing / heavy industry experience preferredProven ability to analyze complex business processes and identify opportunities for improvementProject management skills and experienceCost accounting experience a plusComprehensive experience in financial accounting and reportingDemonstrated understanding of internal accounting controlsStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProactive attitude with team oriented, collaborative working styleSAP and Hyperion experience requiredExcellent organizational and project management skills

The compensation range for this position is approximately $130,000 - $171,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
