Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Manager of asset logistics and execution will be responsible for the networkwide logistics and operations of merchandiser and ISB assets.  This leader will have the networkwide responsibility for refurbishment sites as well as the coordination of transportation and logistics to support the field equipment service and operations teams.  Asset Life Cycle Strategy development and execution along with inventory management will be key initiatives and responsibilities for this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee and develop the organization’s refurbishment and reverse logistics process for merchandisers, parts, supplies, and ISB equipment.  Maximize value of current owned assets and reduce service cost by implementation of best in class life cycle management program.  Responsible for the operations and performance of the refurbishment center network and sites.

Develop departmental strategy that is in line with the True North strategic plan Implement centralized refurbishment planning and scheduling along with standard workflow and output expectations for all refurb sites Manage and develop the department’s budget, manage the P&L and create plans to address variances in planned vs. actual Capex and Operating expense. Perform cost analyses to determine opportunities for outsourcing/insourcing and recommendation for field level asset repair and replacement. Life Cycle Development and Ownership of ISB machines & DSD Merchandisers - Drive the development and management of SWIs for merchandiser and ISB logistics, process manufacturing, preventative maintenance, and maintenance standards to enable asset and resource efficiency and utilization. Responsible for proactive understanding of EPA and regulatory compliance.  Ensure that Reddy Ice is in full compliance and all future investment and preventative maintenance programs are aligned with regulations.

Own the tracking and planning for merchandiser assets company-wide; Partner with supply chain, sales, and operations leadership to provide clear reporting on available assets and capacity to fulfill demandLean LeadershipLeads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes the lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value create for our customers, employees and shareholders.Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement.Inventory Management – to reduce costs:Establish and deploy strategies for inventory and parts optimization and replenishmentPerform other duties as assigned by management.Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics.  We value honesty and integrity above all else and we expect our employees to be committed to the highest ethical standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Refurbishment site supervisors and coordinators will report to this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position will balance between an office environment and distribution and/or manufacturing sites.  This position requires 50% travel to field locations, where the employee will be required to walk and stand in manufacturing plants, including freezers. The work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships and reason through complex business situations is essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree not required, but preferredMinimum 7 years’ experience in supply chain planning, logistics, and inventory management.Thorough understanding of EPA and regulatory compliance for cooling and HVAC equipment.Technical experience and thorough understanding of HVAC equipment functions.Minimum 3 years in conducting large- and small-scale Kaizen events.Proficient in analyzing and reengineering MRP processes including knowledge and application of ERP systems (working knowledge in MS AX a plus)Proven experience and capability to develop KPIs for key processes and ability to drive positive performanceAdvanced analytical skills and proficiency with MS Office (specifically in Excel and PowerPoint)
