The AMPS program is designed to enhance the customer and SP experience on Amazon. We empower our Merchant Consultants (MCs) to work directly with SPs to help them improve the value, selection, and convenience of their offerings. Our team is committed to driving innovation across technology, process, and people to grow the AMPS program, increase SP engagement and satisfaction, and deliver impactful solutions.
AMPS is looking for a leader to join us as a ‘Sr. Manager, Business Operations’ to develop and scale our Paid Services business launched in 2020. The candidate will be responsible for developing overall strategy to support both SPs to grow their business through our service and also improve MC efficiency and service quality by clearly defining priorities. You will be expected to develop improvement plans to achieve the overall business outcome based on a clear analysis of the gap between now and the future. You will play a key role in the development of our portfolio of Paid Services solutions working with cross-functional teams and colleagues in the US, EU and China, in addition to Japan. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully hiring, managing and developing team members, as well as the ability to set a vision for a team and put the right mechanisms in place to keep team members focused on delivering results. S/he will have a high degree of autonomy and a proven track record of taking end-to-end responsibility and successfully growing our business in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.




Key job responsibilities
• Lead multiple key functions across the Business Operations team, including: improving MC productivity through automation/AI, developing sales support products, performing operations such as listings on behalf of SPs, resolving technical issues for SPs to sell and grow at Amazon, and learning & development for internal teams.
• Lead the strategic definition of key business operations programs/projects for internal sales teams and Selling Partners to support the rapid growth of the business and deliver an enhanced SP experience, accelerate their growth, and maximize sales efficiency and consultative quality.
• Lead the development of an engaging customer user experience with demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements.
• Approve and define the business operations roadmap and create alignment with internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide cross-organizational leadership and drive the success of long-term business plans derived from extensive and in-depth analysis.
• Communicate with business and technical audiences at all levels, including demonstrated success influencing senior leaders/executives and decision makers.
• Drive hiring efforts, develop team members through coaching and providing feedback, and build a strong and motivated team.
• Work with the global teams to build and align vision and strategy in the area of business operations.
