**Sr Commodity Manager – EMS & Contract Manufacturing** The job function of the **Sr Commodity Manager – EMS & Contract Manufacturing** is to lead commodity management for Omnicell contract manufacturing direct requirements. This role will be responsible for all aspects of supplier management including but not limited to sourcing strategy, supplier relationship and supplier negotiations. This position will report in Global Procurement Organization to the Director, Commodities. **Essential Functions:** To work effectively as a **Sr Commodity Manager** this position is expected to: + **Scope:** Reporting to Director Commodities as part of the Global Procurement organization, you will be responsible for the global EMS & Contract Manufacturing commodity with greater than $150M in spend. + **Strategy:** Responsible for developing commodity strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders and ensuring alignment to Omnicell long term strategic vision. Experienced in creating world class commodity strategies. + **Contract Manufacturing:** Experienced on contract manufacturing business models & strategies. Drive data driven approach on commodities to be managed by Omnicell vs. contract manufacturers and coordinate the supplier management via contract manufacturer. Experience in partnering with internal sites to drive best decision for Omnicell + **Direct:** Understanding of key component cost structure with detailed knowledge of costed BOM management to maximize sub-tier supplier cost negotiation and management to optimize PPV. Evaluate spends & prioritize category strategies. Drive supplier consolidation & ensure team is focused on total landed cost. + **Negotiations:** Establish regular cadence and lead supplier negotiations focused on total landed cost. Standardize RFQ / requirements document. Implement use of negotiation planner across all commodities that includes market / benchmarking data. Identify strategic cost reduction opportunities for existing products as well as new products in development and partner with finance on creating should cost for key commodities to help Omnicell margins. Strengthen process to ensure negotiated savings are realized on time per schedule. + **Supply Base Optimization:** Regularly review number of suppliers within to balance supply assurance with number of suppliers with ability to leverage spend within a supplier. Provide relationship lead role in component, sub-assembly, and final assembly product transfers from one supplier to another. Provide key input on commodity supplier selection for new products. + **Contracts:** Experience negotiating key commercial terms including multiyear pricing, PPV claims, working capital, performance related claims & other terms. Support advanced sourcing and NPI team with contracts and support the team with pricing negotiations as needed. + **Supplier Management:** Foster mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers. Partner with stakeholders & advanced sourcing team to evaluate existing suppliers and identify new sources of supply as needed. Participate in supplier assessment, supplier qualification and develop Approved Supplier List to ensure Procurement is well positioned to meet future needs. Generate supplier scorecard metrics and drive Quarterly Business Review (QBR’s) with key supplier partners + **Metrics / Systems / Processes:** Identify & create key metrics & build a dashboard for tracking commodity management deliverables & provide visibility to business partners. Establish standard processes for gathering data from suppliers through supplier portal or other data management tools. Monitor supplier performance, quality, cost, inventory and work with appropriate parties to ensure contract compliance, accountability and resolve any related issues. Help mature commodity management systems & support creation or up leveling of existing processes + **Organization:** Experience collaborating with global teams, cross functional peers and leadership and managing by influence. + **Advanced Sourcing:** Contribute to new product development through participation in supply chain architecture design. Provide guidance to new product teams for sourcing with contract manufacturers. As necessary, identify new supplier sources. Working through Manufacturing Project Managers, ensure supplier DFx input is captured for product design and manufacturing process requirements. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** + 8+ years of commodity management experience with 4+ years with EMS & Contract Manufacturing supply management experience. + Demonstrated ability to drive change via collaboration across organizational levels, global geography and business entities + Strong understanding of various commodities and contract manufacturing space and existing relationship with key suppliers. + Professional communication and collaborating behaviors that enable a strong Supplier Relationship Management process + Self-motivated and ability to drive results with minimal supervision. + BS/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering or Technical Studies + Contracting and Contract management skills + Effective negotiations track record + Good data analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of problem-solving techniques + Strong presentation preparation and presentation skills **Preferred Knowledge and Skills:** + MBA + Experience working in regulated industry + Knowledge of ISO 13485 or equivalent Quality Management System + Lean six sigma Certification (green or black belt) + Experience with DFx, value engineering and costing toolset (should cost, make vs. buy, etc) **Work Conditions:** + Ability to work remote + Medium travel (15%, includes international) + Extended and/or irregular work hours.
