Purpose of Role

The Under Armour Digital Commerce team, responsible for UA.com and related services, is seeking a Sr. Manager, Platform Engineering. This role will lead a team focused on building and maintaining web solutions with a heightened focus on backend services for our digital and retail customer touchpoints, including underarmour.com and our native applications.


 

Your Impact Mentor, recruit, onboard, grow, and evaluate full stack engineers and managers Build and maintain a highly efficient engineering team in a highly cross-functional environment Serve as a key change agent in a dynamic and evolving industry Establish and maintain standards to enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery workflows for feature development teams Collaborate with product teams to enable capabilities used by frontend teams to deliver delightful and performant experiences for our customers. Collaborate with our infrastructure team to ensure that we are deploying and maintaining our services in the most efficient and performant way. Contribute to long-term architecture and strategy of Under Armour’s e-commerce ecosystem Incident triage and response Support evaluation and estimation of non-labor agreements Qualifications Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience OR typically 14 years of relevant experience without degree Typically, 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.  Experience managing teams with a focus on NodeJS, Typescript and supporting frameworks like Express Experience managing custom services such as REST and GraphQL APIs with high throughput Experience with AWS services, Kubernetes, Docker Experience working with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions Experience with source control including Git Experience with site performance profiling and tuning Experience working within a service-oriented architecture Experience with offshore, nearshore, onshore outsourcing Some experience in working with frontends built with React/NextJS or mobile applications platforms like iOS/Android. Base Compensation

 $186,887.00 - $256,969.90 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
