Job Overview
The Manager, Vendor Masterfile oversees, coordinates, and monitors the integrity of the Vendor Masterfile to ensure excellent customer service for the vendor community. This position has a significant financial impact on the company, affecting vendor payments and purchase orders for Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Bluemercury.
What You Will Do
Oversee and manage the offshore Masterfile team to ensure effective processes and programs, maintaining service levels in the vendor setup environment. Develop, motivate, empower, and evaluate the offshore team to enhance their professional and technical skills, ensuring the team's continued success in their functional areas. Build and foster strong working relationships with internal business owners by providing timely, accurate, and high-quality information to peers, subordinates, upper management, and customers. Work on special projects to streamline department processes and improve efficiency. Collaborate with the Tax department regarding settlement reportability and end-of-year expense 1099 data. Maintain and update authorized approvers for non-PO invoices. Address all vendor setup issues, ensuring they are resolved in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality. In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
Skills You Will Need
Leadership and Team Development: Ability to oversee and manage the offshore Masterfile team, developing, motivating, and empowering them to enhance their professional and technical skills.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with internal and external business partners at all levels.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyze data and make sound, informed decisions.
Vendor Relationship Management: Proven experience in addressing and resolving vendor setup issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Financial and Mathematical Competence: Above-average mathematical skills and a solid understanding of financial processes, including vendor payments and purchase orders, as well as settlement reportability and 1099 data.
Process Improvement: Ability to streamline department processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Project Management: Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Accounts Payable and Retail Experience: Background in Accounts Payable, retail processes, and a clear understanding of the retail inventory process.
Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in supervising and leading teams, with a focus on developing a team that supports overall company goals and initiatives.
Collaboration and Relationship Building: Ability to collaborate and build relationships with various departments, including the Tax department, to ensure accurate reporting and process efficiency.
