Summary: 

Prepares pricing estimates and creates complex program baselines and program analysis for the Business Unit (BU), financial and accounting analysis including the review, analysis, interpretation and/or evaluation of budgets, cost, pricing, etc.

 

Performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies. Establishes and maintains accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

 

Major Position Responsibilities Manages the daily financial activities and functions for an organization including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasuryEnsures all financial operations are in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Forecasts and manages a cash flow that meets the needs of the companyProvides guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant and useful financial reporting is producedOversees the budget process and works with managers to produce and manage effective budgetsActs as an advisor to management on regulations and other matters that may impact the financial activities of the company, engaging with outside consultants if applicableLeads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors & General Managers Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Associate's DegreeOR equivalent combination of relevent education and/or experience
7-8 years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting MBA highly desiredAccounting/cost estimating work experience related to program control, program finance/accounting and/or pricing of government contractsProficient in ProPricerIntegrated Program Manager (IPM)Proficient in Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, Earned Value (EV) reporting for government contracts, budgeting and practices

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interfaceStrong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environmentLooks for ways to improve and promote qualityMust be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the flyMust be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlinesWorks within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safetyOperates under minimal direction and exercises moderate to independent judgmentDecisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan Consistent exercise of discretion and judgmentSupervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members
