Job Description:

The Finance Lead will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the Communications System segment’s investment portfolio with a strong focus on business cases and profitability assessment.The successful candidate will be a highly analytical, self-starter and collaborative problem solver who is skilled in managing uncertain situations and ambiguity as well as ability to influence co-workers outside of their reporting chain and functional area.

Essential Functions:

Manage Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and Capital financial plan for the Communications Systems Segment.Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure organizational alignment for our investment portfolio. Facilitate financial models and business cases for IRAD, Capital and other ad hoc requests as needed.Review and guide sectors on all Capital requests above 250k for executive approval. Support CS Strategy Development function and L3H Technology Office by communicating plans, projects, status, issues, and actionsAnalyze financial performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans.Update use of dashboards with key metrics, analyze results, and summarize findings to support leadership decision-making.Manage a rotating resource from the finance leadership development program.Collaborate with divisional finance teams to ensure accurate short and long-term forecast, as well as effective use of investment dollars for both IRAD and Capital. Expert point of contact for IRAD financial database. Provide execution guidance, training and continued evolution of templates.Participate in compressive Communications Systems monthly financial review process.Additional support and leadership of ad hoc Communication Systems FP&A projects and deliverables as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field and minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in Finance or Business Administration and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience in finance.Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and time frames consistently

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $107,500 - $199,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
