The Senior Manager, Global Import/Export Compliance, Europe is responsible for leading Integra’s Trade and Customs Operations team in Europe. This leader will build, enable and execute customs compliance and operations work. This position will ensure regulatory application through the supply chain working in close partnership with our Finance/Tax Organization, US Compliance Team and Transportation Team. This role will be responsible for leading a team of export/import specialists in Europe.
The Senior Manager, Global Import/Export Compliance, Europe is responsible for the implementation of import/export control & sanctions compliance processes within Integra to ensure Integra complies with the import/export control & sanctions laws and regulations administered by Customs & Border Protection (CBP).
The position is under the Director, Global Transportation & Trade Compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo be successful, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant international trade laws and regulations, including export controls, sanctions, customs regulations, and trade agreements. Develop, implement, and maintain global trade compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices. Continuously monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in global trade regulations to relevant stakeholders, assessing their impact on the business.Identify and assess potential compliance risks related to global trade activities, developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Conduct regular compliance audits, assessments, and self-reviews to ensure adherence to global trade laws and internal policies. Manage and respond to any trade compliance issues, violations, or incidents, working with legal and other departments as necessary to resolve them.Lead and mentor a team of trade compliance professionals, fostering a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct. Develop and deliver training programs for employees on global trade compliance requirements, ensuring awareness and understanding across the organization. Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of the trade compliance program.Oversee the management of import/export licenses, ensuring that all necessary licenses and permits are obtained and maintained in compliance with relevant laws. Ensure that all trade documentation, including classifications under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), is accurate and compliant. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that all trade-related documentation meets compliance standards and is properly maintained.Serve as the primary advisor to senior leadership on all global trade compliance matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations. Advise on the compliance implications of business decisions, including new market entries, mergers and acquisitions, and supply chain strategies. Stay ahead of emerging trade compliance trends and challenges, proactively advising the organization on potential impacts and opportunities.Act as the primary liaison with government agencies, customs authorities, and external consultants on matters related to trade compliance. Represent the organization in trade compliance-related industry forums, conferences, and working groups. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, ensuring that they are informed of relevant compliance requirements and changes.Drive efficient & robust import & export custom clearance procedures into and out of Europe and other locations around the world.Lead, partner and coordinate efforts with site operations, Regulatory/QA, Manufacturing, Procurement, Tax and Finance teams.Executing continuous improvement and strategy deployment and working to standardize processes and develop best practices.Perform other related duties as assigned.Travel up to 10%..

Bachelor’s degree in law, international Trade or related discipline is required.Minimum of 8 years of experience in global trade compliance, with at least 5-8 years in a leadership role focused on compliance.Ability to work in a team environment and work independently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Deep expertise in global trade compliance regulations, including export controls, sanctions, and customs regulations.Experience in a multi-national manufacturing and distribution organization, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Oracle preferred Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
