Job Description

Join Takeda as a Sr. Manager, IBD Insights out of our Lexington, MA office.  Where you will be responsible for consulting Gastroenterology Business Unit (GIBU) leadership, leading, creating and delivering integrated insights across multiple sources, project management & knowledge management assignments. In this position you will leverage your technical expertise to project manage and provide operational excellence, to 1) engage consultative influence, 2) create cross-source insights, recommendations and alignment for action, 3) develop analysis of business need, knowledge gaps, primary and/or secondary research to fill prioritized gaps, 4) communicate those integrated insights to relevant stakeholders across Takeda, and 5) leverage data and specialty expertise in at least one segment (Patient or Medical (Healthcare Professional or Payer)) external analysis, with internal market planning, business development, strategic or tactical work streams for long-term impact. Responsibilities associated with commercial insights include leading cross-functional teams in predicting and planning solutions to achieve successful execution, driving the team to achieve clarity on issues and action, consulting influence with senior management. You will act as an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME), requiring consultative skills, to meet specific commercial processes and the discipline of Market Research.

How you will contribute:Proactively identifies strategic and tactical knowledge and market research consulting needs of GIBU, establishing both long-range and short-term business impact.Collaboratively prioritize and build an integrated market research plan for at least one stakeholder (Patient or Medical (Healthcare Professional, Payer)).Provide oversight and accountability on all processes related to procurement, vendors, compliance, pharmacovigilance and budget management activities in execution of each research program. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of quality, comprehensiveness, and timeliness of all process outputs.Supervise compliance of relevant SOP and industry ethics for GIBU operationsResponsible for maintaining and tracking learning/training, compliance and safety
programsGuides and manages the creation of operational processes and presents associated plans to GIBU leadership for approval.Sets and provides clear direction in methods, recommendations and secures stakeholder buy-in.Develops and manages expectations, highlighting and resolving issues and ensuring
regular communication of processes enhancements.Proactively identifies methods to improve efficiency and quality with respect to Project Planning and Management within GIBU, and influence via leadership across global peers.Proactively develops and implements new and innovative solutions to meet business needs and resolve business issues.Develops, implements, and maintains project management of primary research in GIBUAligns, monitors and reports on team-specific project delivery, expenses, and other
insights operation metricsBuild internal stakeholder relationships from a variety of groups (i.e. marketing, sales, data systems, procurement)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:B.A./B.S.  required preferably in STEM or analytics field, Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 4 years of progressively responsible project management experience within commercial pharmaceuticals2+ years of experience in implementing processes, procedures,  market  research  and competitive intelligence in specialty biologics healthcare environment.Demonstrated leadership skills managing matrix teams, influencing outcomes in strategic and tactical decisions, specific to marketing in specialty pharmaceuticals2+ years expertise and industry leadership in market  research  of  at  least  one  external stakeholder (patient or medical community (healthcare professional, payer))Biologics consulting expertise with strong leadership in specialty marketing analysis, brand planning, situation analysis, project management and cross-functional alignment skills.Consultative influence utilizing varied sources of mixed confidence intervals and methods, engaging stakeholders at all levelsAbility to exercise decisiveness  in  selecting  critical  strategic  elements  of  executive decisions,  collaboration  and  alignment  in  methods  for  study  of  strategic  elements, prioritization of competing strategic/tactical needs, strong budget/scope/program management, strong consultative influence skillsAdvanced understanding of primary market research methods, industry ethics and
compliance, and specialty biologicsBench strengths in primary research consulting/execution in at  least  one  customer specialization (Patient or Medical (Healthcare Professional, Payer))Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with senior management.Thorough knowledge of drug commercializationThorough knowledge and passion for excellence in the commercial side of managing pharmacovigilance processesAdvanced knowledge of best practices and leadership in specialty pharmaceutical

forecasting synthesis, competitive intelligence and data management to advise the development, execution and to monitor specialty pharmaceutical leadership status.Able to lead in a matrix-working culture.Proven ability to negotiate and influence in a consultative roleProactive ability to predict issues and problem solveProven consultative influence, communication and presentation skills – organizational, written and verbalExpertise in primary market research methods as they pertain to low sample size and integration with specialty pharmaceutical data sources and syndicated analysisHistory of managing multiple tasks of varied complexity simultaneouslyAble to delegate effectivelyProven advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and WordTravel requirement 10%~ Able to drive to or fly to various , including overnight  trips.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
