As a result of continued growth on our Strategy & Continuous Improvement (SCI) team, Marmon is now seeking a Sr. Manager of Instructional Design to play a pivotal role in shaping our enterprise-wide SCI programs. This highly visible role will be instrumental in driving the learning and development initiatives that build our leaders and grow our workforce. Success will be achieved by collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), instructional designers, and graphic designers to develop top-tier adult learning experiences, ensuring our training programs set and maintain a standard of excellence.

What you’ll do:

Lead the review, evaluation, and repurposing of existing curriculum to ensure alignment with adult learning principles and business objectivesCultivate collaborative partnerships with business leaders across the company to continuously review capability needs ensuring  that curriculum meets evolving business requirements and enables growth

Oversee the development of new instructional content, ensuring its design will optimize learner engagement and knowledge retention

Collaborate with graphic designers to create visually compelling training materials that support learning objectives and enhance the learner experienceIncorporate best practices in instructional design, technology, and multimedia to ensure all training programs deliver best-in-class quality and effectivenessWork closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop courses that effectively build skills and promote the application of new knowledgeManage the end-to-end instructional design process, from concept to delivery, for both eLearning and in-person programsEvaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials and make data-driven improvements to optimize learner outcomesRegularly report on the impact of learning initiatives and their alignment with key business metricsStay informed of trends and advancements in instructional technologies and adult learning strategies to ensure Marmon’s programs remain cutting-edge

What you’ll bring to the role:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, English, Communication, Psychology or a related fieldAt least 7 years of experience in instructional design with a focus on adult learning andragogy including self-directed, experiential, collaborative, and problem-based learningProven experience in managing Learning Management Systems (LMS), analyzing learner data, and familiarity with learning technologies (adaptive learning)Proven experience overseeing the production of high-quality interactive instructional materials, including collaborating with graphic designers and multimedia teamsStrong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies (e.g., 6 D’s, ADDIE, SAM), and multimedia learning principlesExcellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver high-quality work on timeExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to collaborate across departmentsExperience in corporate or higher education environments.Expertise in using eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate)
