Are you up for the challenge? THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: Perform a wide variety of services required for effective operation of the department. The IT Senior Manager will work closely with the Director of IT Finance & Supplier Management to handle complex responsibilities simultaneously mixing long-term IT process improvements with the urgency of immediate demands on the operations. Key recurring areas of service include: Financial Analysis, Reporting & Forecasting Month-end close (accruals, journal entries, invoice support…etc.) Overseeing IT Invoice Processing team Internal Labor Utilization IT SOW / CO Contracts Administration Annual IT Budget Planning Leadership presentations & updates YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY: Being a thought leader, motivate and mentor 3 direct FTEs as well contractors by building strong relationships across organizational boundaries. Leading the IT Services team through resource planning, up-skilling, career development and recruitment of future talent to drive business results and provide outstanding opportunities for our people. Reviewing IT contracts (SOWs & Change Orders) for legal compliance and accounting policy alignment (e.g. capital vs. expense). Financial Administration, Reporting & Forecasting: Leading financial reporting, analysis and forecasting for IT expenses on a monthly basis and communicate changes to FP&A. Identifying risks & opportunities and provide actionable insights to Tech leadership during monthly business reviews. Overseeing the evaluation of actual results vs. plan and influence IT leadership to achieve department financial commitments. Executing monthly accounting closing activities to deliver results for IT overhead and IT managed expenses at Stores, DC, Chicago Office including IT capitalized labor, journal entries, accruals and variance explanations to accounting. Experiencing working in or alongside Agile teams, adapting financial planning and reporting processes to align with Agile project management. Providing thought leadership and advice to aid senior IT leadership make better decisions based on financial models used to justify spending, including identifying costs, benefits and calculation of Net Present Value and Total Cost of Ownership. Designing and deploy capitalization and cloud computing policy education and compliance for the department. Preparing and present monthly financial updates to IT leadership & FP&A teams. IT Invoicing Team Responsible for end-to-end management of centralized IT invoicing function to ensure accurate and timely invoice processing. Overseeing the invoice processing team for IT department including providing direction to contractor resources tasked with invoice reconciliation via SAP Ariba. Reviewing and approving the work of team members that are responsible for processing IT invoices in accordance with ULTA’s accounting policy. Working with vendors to monitor aging items and resolve any issues including escalations / discrepancies. Working collaboratively with IT, Project Management, Procurement, FP&A and accounting teams. Annual Business Planning Leading and manage the annual IT financial budgeting process including developing and communicating timelines, development and distribution of tools and templates, consolidating submissions, coordinating and facilitating budget reviews and submitting required information to the FP&A team. Partnering with FP&A to ensure project expense is budgeted and tracked with functional units. Refreshing the long term financial models (annually). REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience (CPA is preferred for Accounting professionals) 6-8 years of experience in corporate setting with 2+ years of being in a Sr. Manager position Strong working knowledge of general accounting concepts, monthly close process, financial reporting, and GAAP concepts. Technical accounting knowledge (ASC 360, ASC 350-40 & ASC 350-50). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (Directors, VPs and Chief). Strong demonstrated analytical & financial skills. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Must be a high energy team player with a positive working attitude with experience leading associates Advance in MS Office Tools (Excel & PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication skills Well organized and self-motivated Proven track record of delivering high quality solutions on time and on schedule Experience with SAP S4, Ariba and Planview is a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS: This is hybrid role and requires working from the Bolingbrook office 6 days per month #LI-JB2 #LI-Hybrid The pay range for this position is $117,000.00 - $150,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
