Job Description:

L3 Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager, Scheduling/Material Planning/Logistics located in Jupiter FL.  This person will lead a team of Logistics, Scheduling and Material Management professionals, some employees will consist of Bargaining Unit personnel. This leader will lead a team responsible for demand/material planning, production scheduling, logistics and production scheduling.  

Essential Functions:

Manages experienced professionals or team(s) led by lower level supervisors or managers. Often leads one or more teams or a department. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for team or department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results. Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within own organization, in accordance with management review and approval. Reports to a Director or higher.

Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.

Production Scheduling: Ensures Master Production Scheduling demand is properly loaded & actively maintained in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemDetailed scheduling context and analysis to production and support areas; Assists in development of scheduling “catch back / recovery” optionsDemand/Material Planning: Inventory monitoring of on-hand supply, in-bound material, and in-house WIP vs. ERP demandTimely issuance of material in alignment with program requirements and shop floor capacityControls Inventory Management, Material Issue, Material Cost TransfersRelease of direct material purchase requisitionsProduction Control - Monitor work order progress & constraints to keep hardware flowing per schedule demandsCoordination of tactical level tasks and issue resolution that may cross-cut multiple COE’sCoordinates the timely ordering / readiness of production support items such as tooling, fixtures, NC programming, to facilitate on-time startsConduct resource load analysis & provide resource dispatchCoordinates final shipping requirements to ensure proper material controlLogistics / Material ManagementExecute Receipts, Kitting to support timely work order release / factory startsMaterial handling, material movement, & ERP system Move OrdersProcess Shipping transactions; coordinate material shipmentsCycle Counts, physical inventories, to include material reconciliationValidate flow of material to the floor, control inventoryManages Site Organizational overhead budgetsEnsure compliance to DFARS and MMAS business systemsDomestic travel required, up to 20%

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related Scheduling/ Planning and Logistics experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Master’s Degree considered a plusInventory/Material Management certifications (e.g. APICS) considered a plus
