The Sr. Manager, Pricing Programs & Analytics will lead the development and implementation of pricing programs and analytics across Marmon’s portfolio of 11 business groups and 140+ business units. Reporting to the VP, Strategic Marketing & Pricing and as a key member of Marmon's Strategy & Continuous Improvement team, success in this advisory and consulting role will by driven by gaining mindshare within the business.

This highly visible role will work closely with Marmon's operating companies to identify and support implementation of pricing analytics, KPIs, and programs to build Marmon’s pricing expertise and also develop tools/templates needed to improve price optimization.

Results will ultimately be reviewed and measured by Marmon's senior leadership team in alignment with our autonomous, entrepreneurial operating company goals and objectives.

WHAT YOU"LL DO:

Program Management

Develop supporting material, implement, and continue to build out Marmon’s pricing frameworkImplement and manage Marmon’s pricing training programs for onboarding/orientation, pricing practitioners, Business Unit (BU) leaders, financial leads, sales teams, etc. This includes classes, workshops, and webinarsCommunicate and build out pricing tools (EVE, Inflation Calculator, Breakeven Analysis, etc.)Update and maintain Pricing Playbook(s) in collaboration with BU Product Management, Finance, Sales, and other partnersFind and manage external consulting and training partners based on business needs.Create a consulting offering based on Marmon’s most common needsWork with BUs to find solutions to their pricing challenges

Pricing Analytics & KPIs

Create guidance on generating and analyzing regular reports on pricing performance, including margin analysis, sales trends, and pricing impact on revenue, to identify margin improvement and optimization opportunitiesCreate analytical offerings for Excel, Power BI, or other enterprise systemsShare best practices in pricing analytics and work with businesses to determine which ones are best for themCreate guidance on pricing KPIs and implement them with Marmon’s pricing and financial leadsWork with IT and cross-functional resources to build and maintain pricing capabilities that involve automated data collection and generate dashboards to improve data democratization within the organizationOversee development of dashboards that monitor pricing execution, enabling leadership to clearly understand outcomes and impact on financial results

Pricing Support

Coach and guide pricing leaders across the organizationCreate a network of pricing practitioners and a means to connect with each otherUtilize external resources to share industry pricing best practicesCollect and highlight best practices in pricing activities within Marmon businesses

WHAT YOU"LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, marketing, finance operation, business or related area10+ years of pricing, finance, marketing analytics, consulting, or similar experienceAdvanced Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or TableauStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsSelf-starter who can work effectively within a decentralized culture, distill and prioritize opportunities, and articulate clear recommendations to senior leaders in order to drive impactful changeStrong financial acumen with consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skillsCredible and savvy businessperson who will be perceived as a strategic leader, trusted consultant, and functional expert able to influence leaders at all levels of the organizationSuperb oral and written communication skillsResults-driven individual with the demonstrated ability to address challenging business scenarios with the ability to forecast business needsWillingness to courageously challenge the status quoSome travel required (typically 2 trips per quarter) to Marmon’s operating companiesThis individual can be based anywhere in the U.S.; within the Chicago area is preferable (if based outside the Chicago area, additional travel – typically 1-2 trips per quarter – to Marmon’s Corporate office will be required)
