What You'll Do Here
Overall Coordination: Responsible for the comprehensive coordination of project work groups to ensure a unified focus on execution goals and the tracking/completion of all actions and deliverables across all teams. Specifically, the Senior Project Manager ensures: Development, maintenance, and regular review of project schedules for accuracy. Creation and implementation of Action/Recovery Plans to address any schedule performance issues. Validation and monitoring of project metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) for assigned work segments. Identification and reporting of any resource constraints impacting planned work. Identification of potential changes to work per the project change management procedure. Collaboration with the construction team (Superintendent) to produce, validate, and maintain a staffing plan and Manpower Loading Forecast (MFL) for the assigned scope to support execution plans. Identification and ordering of all required materials and services, along with the identification of any material delivery risks and assignment of action/recovery plans. Team Leadership: Lead a functional team comprising representatives from all relevant departments across the project organization, including but not limited to: Construction Engineering Client Representatives Project Controls Assign tasks and allocate resources effectively to ensure project goals are met. Track the performance of team members, providing feedback and support to ensure high standards are maintained. Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance. Maintain clear and effective communication with the team, stakeholders, and clients to ensure everyone is aligned and informed. Ensure all team members adhere to safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Oversee the quality of work produced by the team, ensuring it meets the required standards and specifications. Project Readiness: Implement the project readiness process for construction execution, including Detailed Window Logic, Readiness Check Sheet Implementation, and Report Card Status Reporting. Meeting Participation: Attend (or arrange representation for) and support project planning meetings, including integration meetings, internal and customer reporting meetings, as required. Task Readiness Coordination: Coordinate prerequisite and execution task readiness in accordance with client and station reporting requirements. This includes schedule and risk review meetings with construction management, supervision, engineering, quality, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure logistics, execution strategy, and schedule compliance are understood and achievable. Outage Readiness: Ensure outage readiness milestones are achieved. Schedule and coordinate readiness meetings, prepare, populate, and update readiness check sheets based on work window schedules. Issue Resolution: Ensure all open items related to work start readiness and work closeout are captured, assigned, and prioritized based on schedule, holding stakeholders accountable for resolution. Reporting: Provide status and progress reports to customers, project teams, and management as needed. Compliance: Ensure adherence to all policies, standards, and procedures, including but not limited to Safety, Quality, Code of Conduct, and Business Ethics. Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as delegated by the Sr. Director of US Commercial Nuclear Operations
What You Bring To The Team
A four-year technical or business administration degree, or equivalent. Alternate degrees/certifications combined with relevant experience will be considered. Certification in project management professional (PMP) preferred. Minimum of 15 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in an EPC / Service in nuclear power generation environment. Experience in mechanical component replacement and specialty welding preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear project work, financial operations, project control methods/standards, estimating, and employee relations. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including typical MS suite programs.
