The Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) Release Planning Team oversees Transactional Film and Television Release Data Management, including PVOD, PEST, EST and VOD for Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Illumination, DreamWorks Animation and independent studios. The Release Planning Team focuses on the maintenance of title release planning, ensuring consistency and integrity of data for cross functional stakeholders. The primary role of the Senior Manager is to manage Film title release planning. This includes oversight of the internal title management release information, and the data consistency and integrity across licensing, operations, sales and marketing. This role will also work closely with Business Operations, Account, International New Media, and Marketing teams to foster alignment and support on title release plans projects. Additionally, the Senior Manager will support the VP of Release Planning in strategic initiatives around release planning, system management, monitoring of industry trends and windowing, and special projects. Responsibilities: + Maintain internal title release management system, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data + Manage cross functional communication and alignment around release plans (i.e. windows, competitive tracking, deadlines, product requirements) + Maintain thorough and clear process documentation for special projects, to build knowledge across the teams. Identify potential risks to project timelines, employ problem solving, and mitigation strategies to ensure project success while collaborating across internal stakeholders + Support VP by providing thought leadership, critical thinking, strong decision-making capabilities + Provide direction and project management expertise on ad hoc projects supporting business initiatives Basic Requirements: + 3+ years of strategic planning or project management experience + Strong organizational and analytical skills + Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills + Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel Desired Characteristics: + Bachelor's degree + A team-player who can successfully operate in a team-oriented setting and possesses exceptional interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills + Detail-oriented self-starter who loves efficiency and is passionate about creating solutions + Experience managing cross functional projects, managing stakeholders, and alignment across teams – strong leadership and peer management skills + Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload across multiple projects, while adhering to deadlines + Highly adaptable and excels in fast-paced environments with ability to work under pressure + Familiarity with media and entertainment; and content distribution lifecycles Additional Requirements: Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
