The Role
Do you have a strong understanding of regulatory and financial reporting requirements for SEC-registered investment companies? Are you interested in participating in the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements? If so, this role is for you!
In this role, you will use analytical stills and attention to detail to deliver accurate and time-sensitive financial and regulatory reports and filings required for shareholders and regulators. You will also coach and mentor staff to achieve high-quality results and adhere to process controls to proactively mitigate risk. Your ability to work within a team and under pressure to meet deadlines will be critical to our success and in helping to support the service line’s overall mission to deliver high-quality and efficient financial reporting for Fidelity’s registered funds.
The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of financial services experience with a mutual fund operation, custodian bank or asset manager with a focus on legal and financial regulatory reportingUnderstanding of risk frameworks and ability to design and lead processes ensuring a strong control environmentFocus on innovation – ability to identify and drive forward ways to improve and automate current processesWorking with all levels of management and make high impact decisions quickly and accuratelyUse of workflows and requirements of internal and external business partners and systems applicationsHelping to define and understand the impact of initiatives to the production environment to anticipate and coordinate operational readinessExcellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation capabilityThe TeamIn Shareholder Reporting, we’re on a mission to deliver SMART, SIMPLE and SCALABLE shareholder reporting solutions while cultivating our talent. Our team is part of the Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) organization. In fact, we’re the largest service line within FFIO and are responsible for producing and distributing statements, prospectuses, and other fund and legal documents to our customers and filing them with the SEC. Doing this in the smartest and most effective way is more meaningful than ever as we are in the midst of implementing Fidelity’s new and alternative investment products, new and changing regulations, and a brand-new technology platform that will transform the way we work. Fidelity’s hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences. Having the majority of our associates work onsite is important for our business strategy and our culture.
