What you'll do Our business is built on finding great people and getting out of their way while they build and improve our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to join the DocuSign India’s Engineering organization; you will help scale and build the next generation of DocuSign’s agreement platform and services/products. You will build the Tools and Technologies needed for IAM Maestro. As a technology leader, you will help build a top-tier software organization that is responsible for the development and upkeep of highly scalable, reliable, and available (“5 nines”) systems. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering. Responsibility Lead and manage one or more Engineering teams developing features of business or related technology solutions Hire and mentor top talent while building a solid engineering organization on a foundation of execution, innovation and learning Complete Engineering plan and deliver product while managing the technical debt and upleveling the engineering operational excellence Champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high-quality development environment while being an expert at agile continuous delivery, DevOps and TDD/BDD Dive deep into technology and are on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services Prioritize great user experiences and be a partner to product management and engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business Be a hands-on technical resource who directs product and technology teams to conceptualize, build and deploy products in a fast-paced agile environment Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 12+ years of combined software development management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience 8+ years hands on software development or equivalent experience 3+ years managing software organizations over 15 people or equivalent experience Hands on in terms of being able to write code and design/architect complex backend systems Experience leading and managing one or more Engineering teams developing features of business or related technology solutions Demonstrated track record of innovating on v1 products - driving them from ideation to usage by millions of users in a startup-like environment. Experience managing direct reports that are people managers, including senior managers Preferred Experience leading and collaborating with distributed teams in the USA Prior experience building end to end products in the Enterprise SaaS area Experience with distributed backend systems that involved REST API abstraction layers in complex enterprise environments with SOA and ROA or equivalent You obsess over customer experiences and will be a partner to product management/engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business You thrive in a fast paced, execution driven environment Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
