The Sr. Manager of Statistical Methodology and Innovation works under direction of senior members of the Statistical Methodology team to implement vision and strategy of the Statistical Methodology and Innovation function within Global Biostatistics and Data Science organization. They will engage with Biostatisticians and other cross-functional team members to drive development of innovative statistical methods for emerging trial design and analytics problems. Statistical Methodology and Innovation teams' mission is to s upport and enable development teams to pursue optimal design/development options with sharpened focus on scientific rigor and innovation, operational feasibility, and resource efficiency across the BMS portfolio. Sr Manager of Stat Methdology role will be involved in projects developing methodological solutions to statistical innovation problems identified by Global Biostatistics and Data Science organization. Key responsibilities of this position are focused on 3 areas: 1) development of statistical methods and research and 2) providing statistical consulting to specific projects 3) developing tools and software to implement methodological solutions. There also will be an opportunity for collaboration with cross-functional teams on long-term statistical innovation objectives. Key Responsibilities + Formulates, develops, implements innovative novel statistical analysis methods and innovative study designs across therapeutic areas + Translates scientific questions into statistical terms and statistical concepts into layman terms + Work with stakeholder to develop, implement, and apply state-of-the-art algorithms to address key business problems. + Communicates effectively with clinical and regulatory partners and external opinion leaders. + Builds the external reputation of BMS R&D via external interactions through collaborations with alliance partners, academic and government research organizations, publications and conference participation + Provides statistical consultation for ad hoc analysis requests including design of appropriate analyses to answer relevant questions. + Keeps up to date with state-of-the art applied statistical methodology + Drives the development and implementation of innovative statistical methods, novel trial designs, etc. Qualifications & Experience + Fresh Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics or MS with 3+ years of experience + Understanding of the application of biostatistics to medical/clinical trials data + Experience in Clinical Trail Design and Analysis + Solid knowledge of statistical design and experience developing statistical models + Expertise in one of the following: Bayesian Methods, Adaptive Designs, RWE, Decision Analysis + Excellent verbal and written communications skills. + Strong interpersonal skills evidenced in interactions with individuals across the organization If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
