About the role:

Are you passionate about driving innovation and influencing product design to create a world-class supply chain? Are you a strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver impactful results? If so, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Hach’s supply chain for new product development.

This high-impact role is focused on developing and deploying cutting-edge supply base strategies for new products. You will be instrumental in shaping design decisions that optimize cost, mitigate risk, and enhance supply continuity. Collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Product Management, you will ensure product designs meet manufacturability standards, avoid sole/single-source dependencies, and drive material cost reductions. Additional responsibilities will include managing monthly forecasts for critical OMX KPIs and leading the annual budget planning process for the Global Strategic Sourcing team.

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Global Strategic Sourcing, this leadership role can be performed remotely and includes managing a team of strategic sourcing professionals in Europe and North America.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Influence Design Excellence: Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management to integrate manufacturability standards into new product designs. Proactively guiding decisions to minimize single-source risks and optimize cost structures.

Deliver Supply Chain Success: Ensure supply chain goals are met for New Product Development (NPD) sustaining projects, achieving cost targets and on-time product launches through strategic supplier and commodity decisions. Drive performance improvements in cost (PPV & VAVE), quality, delivery, and inventory through breakthrough strategies and rigorous execution.

Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build followership and influence design decisions by clearly articulating supply chain strategies and their impact on cost and continuity.

Develop Global Sourcing Strategies: Manage a high-performing team of Strategic Sourcing Managers across North America and Europe to deliver innovative commodity strategies that drive significant value; this includes ensuring alignment with global sourcing strategies developed by the Global Category Leads.

Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budget planning, forecasting, and understanding financial metrics. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make accurate projections for KPIs and budgets.

Resolve Challenges Quickly: Apply advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve supplier issues and ensure consistent product quality through established qualification procedures.

Develop Sustainable Process: Utilize the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) to build and maintain processes to achieve the key responsibilities detailed above.

The essential requirements of the job include:

7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing with a focus on commodities and new product development.

Proven track record of influencing product design decisions to optimize cost and supply chain continuity and demonstrated success in achieving performance improvement targets (e.g., PPV, quality, delivery, inventory).

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and lead a global team.

Strong expertise in commodity strategies and market dynamics, and developing and executing global sourcing strategies

A commitment to ethical and professional conduct in all job responsibilities.

Master’s degree in business administration or supply chain management, preferred.

Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
