We are looking for an energetic and driven Sr. Manager, to manage TPM plant operations and supply chain activities to optimize the use of the organization's resources to meet quality standards, established product specifications, schedules, volume, cost, yield and OEE targets.
What You’ll Work On
Manage product cost through efficient use of installed capacity, material usage rate vs. inventory, and effective deployment of resources. Prepare operating plan and updates to senior managementResponsible for site material planning and control; interfaces with Abbott procurement, supply planning, engineering and TPM material planning teams to ensure continuity of supply through volume fluctuations, introduction of new suppliers and changes in material requirementsInterface with the TPM’s operations, supply chain, engineering and quality leadership to ensure harmonized execution of agreed goals and planned targetsLead the development of operating budgets for the production unit.Research, evaluate, and recommend changes to production processes, workflows, systems, technology, or other assets that will enhance the organization’s production capabilities.Liaise with functional or operational area managers (for example in production, supply and logistics, maintenance, engineering, purchasing, or human resources) to integrate their activities into productions plans, cost estimates, and schedules.Lead Operational Excellence initiatives at the site and interface with global OpEx teams for best practice sharing and division-wide harmonizationLead the site’s Gross Margin Improvement programs. Responsible for planning and execution of continuous improvement initiatives, i.e. kaizens, with the TPMInterface with R&D and Global Engineering to ensure efficient/effective introduction of new SKUS, changes to processes, technologies and quality improvements in manufacturing.Interface with Global Supply planning to determine optimum SKU mix vs. volumes to forecast appropriate supply of sensors, packaging materials, and manufacturing componentsInterface with global procurement to ensure harmonized planning of TPM head count, production volumes, target yields, OEE, etc. to achieve financial targetsInterface with finance to set yield and productivity goals throughout the annual and quarterly financial cycles and drive its execution at the siteLeads the team responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking of clinical sampling, engineering trial runs, and retains management Interface with Abbott deployment and logistics team to ensure adherence to shipping schedules, volume of shipment, SKU mix compliance, customs requirements, and IT data handshake between Abbott and TPM systemsInterface with TPM and Abbott Diabetes Care Quality teams to ensure timely product releases and compliant documentation Responsible for building and developing the operations team and continually improve employee engagementRequired Qualifications
Associate's degree in engineering or related discipline Minimum 4 years of experiencePreferred Qualifications
Preferred 10+ years’ experienceFamiliarity with the dynamics of production management and its dependencies on quality system, supply chain, and macro environmental influencesFamiliarity/direct experience in delivering goals in the context of managing third party manufacturing (TPM) relationships and inter-company cultural differences.Apply Now

The base pay for this position is $127,300.00 – $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
