The Amazon Music team is looking for an experienced Senior UX Research Manager to join us and lead a team of UX researchers who are dedicated to improving the Amazon Music fan experience.
As a Senior UX Research Manager you will be responsible for supporting your team of UX researchers to dive deep to understand Amazon Music’s customers, their needs, their desires, and to identify opportunities for new experience design and development work. You will be expected to develop relationships across the organization to influence strategy through foundational and strategic research. We need experienced research leadership to demonstrate the depth and breadth of impact that high quality, creative, and original research can have across a variety of customer scenarios.
Key job responsibilities
• Be a strong leader in a cross-functional team and define customer-centric approaches to envisioning and influencing the creation of Amazon Music experiences.
• Lead a team of researchers that inspire and inform design, prototyping and development, through insights from primary customer research, which include a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Confidently communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• Empower a team of researchers that can balance research autonomy with research collaboration and can multi-task in an agile environment.
• Foster the sharing and synthesis of customer insights across Amazon Music UX researchers and other customer data sources
• Effectively devise mechanisms to translate data and insights into strategy and design direction.
• Grow, coach, and empower a team of UX researchers.
• Continually learn, grow, and improve the craft of UX research.
