Job Description

The Sr. Manager will be based in Santiago, Chile, and will drive the sales of Visa Direct solutions in Chile, working with front line teams, taking support from Visa Direct regional hub teams, to generate awareness, actively pitching banks, acquirers, merchants, remitters, technology enablers and fintechs, building a strong sales pipeline and ultimately delivering incremental revenue to Visa.

This individual will report directly to the Director, Visa Direct Sales for South Cone, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The role entails identifying opportunities with new and existing Visa clients, aiming to close commercial deals, manage existing accounts, develop portfolio growth strategies, and monitoring progress towards goals. Additionally, the candidate will support clients through complex technical integration and enablement projects.

This is a client-facing role that requires organizational savvy and negotiation skills. The candidate will interface with all areas of Visa (sales, products, solutioning, commercialization, ecosystem readiness, marketing, pricing, legal, compliance, risk) and with executives from some of our largest clients.

This position will be working in a fast paced, agile environment, so the candidate must be proactive and excel with internal and external partners to ensure goals achievement.

 

Key responsibilities:

Achieve annual sales goals of Visa Direct, in partnership with local product and sales leadersTake clients through the sales cycle from prospecting to solutioning to deal structure to contractDevelop sales strategy for sales acceleration, including determining high potential client targets, use cases and verticals, etc.Develop a lead acquisition plan for domestic and cross border money movement opportunities.Responsible for closing a portfolio of high-profile initiatives for money movement, facilitating domestic and cross-border transfers, real time payment networks solutions, digital banks, P2P programs and wallets, remitters, gaming platforms, online brokerage companies, crypto platforms, financial institutions, and many other financial players. Additionally, there is a heavy weighting on active prospecting new players that are currently not in the pipeline.The candidate will be the subject matter expert for Visa Direct, deep diving into use cases, explaining our full stack of APIs and SDKs, leading each project and identifying roadblocks and gaps for faster time to market.Work with Visa Direct Commercialization team to execute the go-to-market strategy and ensure we have an ever-improving right value proposition and product construct to meet client needs

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required. Post Graduate degree in Business Administration strongly preferred
• Knowledge of SWIFT cross border payments concepts and transaction banking in the cross border payments space and low value (ACH).
• Prior payments sales experience in the financial services industry (banks and fintechs)
• Minimum 8 years of experience with payments, or digital solutions
• The ideal candidate should know what it is like to start something from scratch, grow it structurally and methodically
• Ability to articulate simple solutions to seemingly complex problems
• Proven record of building and managing a sales pipeline, exceeding revenue goals.
• Extensive experience in selling into banks, acquirers, merchants, remitters, technology enablers and fintechs.
• Experience in treasury banking and on payment rails, corridors, MT ISO 20022 and MT ISO 15022, receive market readiness, pricing (including FX), multi-currency settlement and value-added services.
• Excellent listening and communication skills (both verbal and written), and executive presence must be able to interface with our most senior client executives
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results
• Experience in, and the ability to travel to foreign locations on a short-term basis as required
• Travel may be required up to 10 percent of the time.
