**Job Description Summary** Responsible for identifying and executing against performance improvement opportunities, supporting successful implementations within the enterprise, and building people capabilities within BD, using contemporary performance improvement tools. As the Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement, you will play a pivotal leadership role in supporting our most critical CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) projects by optimizing end-to-end program management, business processes and preventative problem solving. Specifically, this role will use standard methodology in cross functional team with external partnership with our leadership team drive quality excellence. Key areas of focus will be the utilization of LSS and CI methodologies to drive summative and true root cause analysis Responsibilities will include fostering collaboration and innovation to develop strategies and initiatives that drive CAPAs, failure Investigations & organizational transformation, ultimately enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and cost reduction across all functions supporting CAPA projects. We are specifically looking to reduce waste in all processes, while ultimately achieving a high-quality product with lean principles. Specifically, they will develop, teach and use standard processes in cross functional teams to drive excellence in sustaining activities within Dispensing business. **Duties and Responsibilities** + Provide Technical and business insight for complex medical device programs with responsibilities for large elements of product development, design transfer and sustaining efforts. + Establish and implement a robust framework centered on process improvement methodologies, tools, and cultural change. + Lead initiatives to optimize internal systematic processes and key platform metrics + Facilitate kaizen workshops to expose inefficiencies and transform fragmented processes into cohesive, efficient systems. + Proactively align team members and management on project goals, scope, and issue resolution, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. + Champion a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, innovation, learning, and quality. + Apply Technical and Eye For Business: Quickly adapt to new products, technologies, infrastructures and change management. + Develops and drives strategies for continuous improvement, including cross-functional deployment, training programs in Lean and efficiency tools, and implementing KPIs to identify and enhance performance areas + Develops and maintains Value Stream Map, to ensure optimal process flow and find opportunities for improvement + Ensures that the changes are implemented: On-time, within budget, with desired results, minimizing Acts as a change agent, effectively communicates to all levels of the organization to get agreement and institutionalizes CI practices + Develops and implements Root Cause Investigation program. Puts process in place to conduct root cause investigation and After Action Reviews for critical issues + Provides an open environment and promotes teamwork. Acts as a catalyst to remove organizational barriers. Help cross-functional teams develop clear Roles and Responsibility through RACI tools to enable collaboration and accountability + Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required **Knowledge and Skills:** + Exceptional communications skills.  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization, spanning cross-functional teams to business leadership. + Proficient in cross functional/cross-sites/external strategic partner team leadership delivering critical business goals within a phase-gate based product development process. + Proficient in the development and deployment of program management tools and techniques including methods for tracking progress, risk management and delivery of major landmarks. + Set clear objectives and measurements. Driving the team to make trade-offs that optimize customer and business value while maintaining program velocity and outcomes that sustain the highest standards of quality. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology or Marketing required. Master's degree or PhD preferred. + Minimum 10 years experience with change management, failure investigations, CAPAs and QMS + Minimum 4 years experience in medical device industries required, including experience in FDA or other regulated environments. + Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills coupled to strong business and strategic. + Highly effective interpersonal skills on a cross-cultural level with excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills, including engagement with Executive level management. + Exceptional leadership qualities in consistently delivering results. Inspirational and motivational balancing accountability with mentorship and support. Strategic and yet able to comprehend and manage details. Expert in balancing risk with progress and a timely path for escalation. + Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt **Preferred Qualifications:** + Change Management certified professional – Prosci - ADKAR, Kotter, etc. + Strong technical background + R&D experience is a plus For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
