This candidate will be responsible for the development and management of the Instant Payments team.  This includes collaborating with key stakeholders in the bank, assisting in identifying the proper software, developing policies, hiring appropriate staff and processing transactions.  This leader will provide leadership and direction to the Instant Payments team that will run, protect and transform the bank to deliver on strategic initiatives, mitigate risk and exceed customer expectations.  To be successful, this leader must be a strong communicator and collaborator, focus on a reliable and resilient production environment to support client demands, operate in a well-controlled environment with a risk mindset, effectively acquire and develop talent, embrace diversity, and appropriately build relationships and align with enterprise/Canada standards and expectations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 10+ years’ operations management experience.  Large bank experience with Instant Payments, ACH and Wire operations is strongly desired.Effective people and project management skills to lead and contribute to strategic projectsAbility to manage workload in accordance with Service Level Agreements.Previous people management experienceRisk and control focus and experienceEffective verbal and written communicatorChange management experienceVendor management experienceProcess optimization/lean six sigma experience a plusStrong analytical capabilitiesProficient in MS Office SuiteStrong attention to detail.Experience with system conversions, implementing and testing new systems strongly desired.Must have a flexible work schedule; which may include nights and weekends.

Escalating matters that can result in adverse market practices and outcomes, thereby negatively impacting CIBC’s reputation as a leading financial institution 

“At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $120,000- $150,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
