Last Mile Operations at Target is responsible for moving E-Commerce shipments from our unique Omnichannel fulfillment network to our Guests’ homes as well as supporting the growth of a variety of digital marketplace strategies. Target continues to focus on ways to increase speed to guests, enable new digital capabilities, and drive top line growth for the business.  Servicing logistics and transportation of a large scale, distributed network with high volumes means simultaneous attention to day-to-day detail as well as the ability to step back and think strategically to drive change within Target and with our carriers to provide a best-in-class Guest experience.

As a Sr. Manager Logistics, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence within the Last Mile team. This role will be focused on developing new operational and technological capabilities to enable Target+ marketplace expansion. In this role you will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to deploy marketplace focused initiatives that drive network efficiency and speed to Guest.  This role lends itself well to those who enjoy building relationships, solving complex problems, developing processes, and building business cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage large-scale, high impact, cross-functional programs that will enable the success of the Target+ long range planMaintain up-to-date competitive benchmarking and research as it relates to the strategic program development and run state opportunitiesOversee multiple projects simultaneously, and develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans for those projectsCoordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives across Last Mile Transportation, Target+, and carrier partners.Serve as the primary Last Mile Operations point of contact for Target +, carrier partners and other stakeholders involved in the projectFoster strong internal and external partner relationships to ensure program alignment and successPresent regular program status updates, leveraging clear strategic storytelling to communicate workstreams / deliverables, progress, risk and dependencies.Monitor health of key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement or optimizationDrive change management initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation of new capabilities, technologies, systems, processesPromote a culture of flexibility, agility, collaboration and continuous improvement in a rapidly changing business environment

About you:

Four-year degree or equivalent experienceStrong organization, communication, and facilitation skills as well as the ability to create project plans that drive accountability for self and partnersDemonstrated experience leading through ambiguous situations and influencing across a variety of stakeholdersExperience developing or launching new business capabilities and/or experience in strategy development or consultingAnalytica curiosity, experience, and competency to drive data-driven decisionsExperience leveraging structured operational problem-solving processes such as ROC or other structured methodologies preferred.Supply chain related degree or MBA preferred

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
