This is a competitive position at AstraZeneca, the largest pharmaceutical company in China. This role reports to VP of AZ China Medical Affairs directly, focusing on department level strategic topics and initiatives. You will be expected to work closely with medical affairs leadership team and cross-functional teams to undertake strategic planning, manage strategic projects, and drive strategic communications among local and global senior leaders
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
Strategic planning and implementation: 35%
Support MA VP to develop annual strategic planning for MA (Medical Affairs)Connect strategy and planning to initiatives and programs to pull the departmental strategic directions through to the next level of operational planning and executionSupport cross-functional teams to implement corporate strategies and planningEnable senior management to evaluate strategy implementation through a consistent lensSupport MA VP for presentations with global and China senior leadersProject Management 50%
Set up project management governance, develop tools, and deliver transformative initiatives that enable MA to achieve strategic objectivesRegularly monitor project progress to make sure on-time achievement of milestones / KPIsOrganize and facilitate overall cross-functional team meetings, and provide constructive feedback to improve delivery of departmental strategic projectsMake records of the decision, alignment, issues, and next steps proposed in meetingsEnsure information transparency and secure visibility of project progress and risks across project teamsIdentify potential risks and support mitigation plan, and accelerate problem solving through proper escalationGenerate reports to senior management team on timely basisJOB REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree and above, preferably in Science, Business, or other relevant areas, MBA degree is plusMinimum 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry, preferably in strategic planning, PMO, business development, brand marketing, new product planning, or management consultingStrong business acumen and strategic thinking abilityStrong communication and presentation skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent project management capabilitiesExperience and proven success in working with cross-functional teamsQuick learning abilityCan work under pressureProficient in oral and written EnglishDate Posted
