Position Summary:
The Senior Sourcing Manager is a seasoned professional with expertise in supplier sourcing, vetting, and negotiation. This role will focus on identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities within our current supply base and developing effective sourcing strategies. The Sr. Manager will also serve as the lead buyer for new product development projects, ensuring the selection of optimal suppliers for both short- and long-term success. This position requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to manage complex projects and strategic initiatives. While it does not involve direct reports, the Sr. Manager will lead sourcing efforts and drive key initiatives across the organization.

Essential Functions:

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple categories to align with company objectives.Oversee the sourcing process, including supplier identification, qualification, contract negotiation, and relationship management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their sourcing needs and ensure alignment with overall business goals.Conduct market analysis to track trends, pricing, and competitive dynamics, informing sourcing strategies.Provide training and guidance on sourcing best practices and tools to internal stakeholders.Manage the supplier selection process, including RFPs, RFQs, and bid evaluations.Serve as the lead buyer for New Product Development projects, ensuring the best sourcing solutions for cost, quality, and long-term sustainability.Partner with global sister companies to identify vetted suppliers and leverage combined volume for cost savings.

Position Qualifications:

Education – Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; MBA is a plus.Experience – Minimum of 6 years of experience in Supply Chain management.Computer Skills – Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems required, strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Certifications & Licenses – Lean Six Sigma certification and negotiation training are a plus.Other Requirements – Proven experience in sourcing is essential. In-depth knowledge of plastic injection molding, blow molding, rotational molding, and metal fabrication is required. Experience working with international suppliers in low-cost countries such as Mexico, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, etc. with emphasis on efforts to re-shore or near shore.

Work Environment:

Hybrid Work Schedule – At this time, the role requires in-office presence 1 day per week, with 2 days per month and additional days as needed for important meetings. Standard work hours are typically within regular business hours, with a commitment of at least 40 hours per week. Flexibility in work hours may be required for special projects, deadlines, or other urgent matters. Occasional travel to supplier sites will also be necessary.
