International's  Parts Team has an exciting opportunity for Sr. Manager of Transportation at our headquarters in Lisle, IL. 

 

The Sr. Manager of Transportation will report into the Vice President of Logistics and Supply Chain for Service Solutions and will oversee a team responsible all Aftersales transportation for our Parts division.  

 

In this position you will be responsible for the budget of over $100M in transportation spend, managing our 3rd party inbound transportation services provider, and driving continuous improvement to meet our customer uptime, performance, and financial goals.

Responsibilities Managing relationships with dealers, carriers, 3rd party providers, our Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs) and vendors and working quickly to resolve transportation issues Develop SOPs, metrics and process improvement activities to streamline current processes Achieve transportation metrics including carrier compliance, delivery performance, mode mix, transportation spend, etc. Lead transportation related special projects and support PDCs and other internal groups with transportation related data analysis  Collaborate with leaders in the Parts Group to develop cohesive plans to provide a superior service level Motivating, developing, and providing leadership to your team Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement and a LEAN operating culture  Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degreeAt least 9 years of materials management or supply chain experienceAt least 5 years of management experience

OR

Master’s degreeAt least 7 years of materials management or supply chain experienceAt least 5 years of management experience

OR 

At least 12 years of materials management or supply chain experienceAt least 5 years of management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
