Snowflake is seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Sr. Manager Payroll, based in its Dublin, CA office, to support our payroll activities for the AMER region.

The Sr. Manager Payroll will be a self-starter, a great communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on knowledge of AMER based payrolls with an emphasis on accurate and timely payments, system integrations, equity-based payroll compensation, monthly and quarterly payroll accounting close activities, year-end reporting, internal and external audits with an emphasis on data integrity.

AS A SR MANAGER PAYROLL AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL :

Own the management and analysis of payroll operations to ensure compliance for AMER based Countries, States and Localities

Coordinate with external vendors to deliver accurate and timely tax deposits for Federal, State and Local tax authorities

Monitor all payrolls to ensure audit procedures are maintained with an emphasis to scale for growth while eliminating risks (both SOX and departmental)

Prepare year-end tax documents and take on new projects to support our continued growth

Review and approve international payroll payment releases

Provide leadership and deliver strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Finance, HR, IT, Stock Admin and Treasury

OUR IDEAL SR MANAGER, PAYROLL WILL HAVE :

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or relevant field

7+ years of relevant payroll experience with deep knowledge of payroll 

Comfortable with fast-paced work environment

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite apps

Extensive knowledge of compensation taxation and long-term equity incentive plans (RSUs, ISO/NQ stock options and ESPP)

Advanced knowledge of ADP WFN (US and Canada)

Familiarity with Workday HCM and Financials

High degree of ethics and professionalism with ability to handle confidential information

BONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING :

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

Active Certified Public Account (CPA)

Experience with Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica and/or Columbia payroll(s)

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $155,000 - $221,500.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
