Raytheon is seeking a strong candidate to join the Advanced Fighter Systems (AFS) acquisition team as the Lead Manager & Sourcing professional. You will be responsible for proactively managing and leading the procurement team to ensure that the purchasing needs of the business are met. A significant focus of this role is coordinating the activities of the team to achieve program requirements and ensuring that the team and all areas of the business adhere to the correct procurement practices.
In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, procurement, and business acumen within a matrixed organization. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one’s own job function as well as with parties external to the organization.
Leveraging on your previous experience you will be able to apply your expert knowledge of procurement management requirements and exercise a high level of business acumen to ensure effective development and implementation of customer-focused, risk-managed solutions to achieve competitive advantage.
This role can be filled in a variety of Raytheon hub locations and is a Hybrid position that may require access to local Raytheon facilities.
What You Will Do:
Manage the AFS procurement team and establish effective measures of performance and metrics.
Ensure members of the team have the correct knowledge and skills to perform assigned purchasing tasks and provide on the job training and support to address skill and knowledge gaps.
Support team members to work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, purchasing requirements, and statement of work for procurement activities.
This role includes the ability to generate and negotiate Teaming Agreements and other related agreements.
Manage compliance with procurement process and ensure all required approvals are in place prior to purchase order release.
Engage with relevant specialists to address identified conflicts and/or risks with terms and supplier conditions that vary from standard company purchase order terms.
Support vendor engagement activities including negotiations and supplier performance management, including on site supplier activities and selection where appropriate.
Work closely with Engineering to support and implement quick turn purchase orders supporting rapid turn development efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
This position will require availability to travel to our supply base when required (approx 15%).
Qualifications We Prefer:
Requires significant knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within the procurement work area.
Requires broad knowledge and skills in procurement and contracting with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Program Management, Engineering, etc).
Demonstrated experience in procurement activities and the management of internal customer and supplier relationships.
Demonstrated experience in the management of a geographically dispersed team and the ability to influence parties at an operational level to achieve objectives within a compliance framework.
Prior experience with multiple subcontract types including but not limited to Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Material (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF)
Prior experience working in the defense industry, preferably within aerospace
Experience with import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
Demonstrated experience guiding executive and program level supplier reviews and negotiation experience
Ability to grasp / understand technical concepts / applications
Experience managing financial and operational Risks and Opportunities
Experience in recruiting, training, mentoring, and coaching a diverse team.
Ability to obtain and/or maintain a US Government Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
