Position Brand Description:

The Sr. Manager - QC - IAPI shall provide direction for the area’s daily workload planning, performance planning, compliance initiatives, continuous improvement projects, and overall customer service while developing employees.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Technical Oversight

Provide technical understanding of the regulations applicable to laboratory testing for cGMP purposesEnforce compliance to all procedures, methods, and other regulatory commitmentsMaintain a high-level understanding of the analytical laboratory processesDefine and maintain inspection readiness activities.

Business Support

Proactively manage day to day businessProvide quality and timely customer serviceMaintain a continuous improvement culture by defining and monitoring productivity and continuous improvement opportunities.Identify and resolve safety issuesServe as a team change agentEnsure safety programs are maintained for the laboratory.

Personnel Development

Supervise/coach/develop personnel.Facilitate the PM process.Ensure a fair and equitable environment.Assist in employee career development plans

Basic Requirements:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Scientific DisciplineKnowledge of cGMPs

Additional Preferences:

Previous laboratory and supervisory experience.Strong written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated leadership skills (decision making, prioritization, mentoring, problem solving, conflict resolution)Understanding of laboratory data systems, including LIMS and chromatography

Other Information:

Available to provide 24 hours a day pager coverage, as necessary
