Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Operator
Job Description

This position is based in Austin, TX, and supports the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD). As a Sr. Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the Filling Department by filling, capping, labeling, and assembling both sub-assemblies and finished good products. You will work in a clean manufacturing environment, adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including safety glasses, face mask, lab coat, and gloves.

ResponsibilitiesPerform highly repetitive manufacturing work.Fill, cap, and label vials, bottles, and tubes individually or as part of a team, following standard operating procedures to ensure product quality.Effectively communicate and interface with work groups to ensure daily production completion.Work in standard and clean room environments while adhering to PPE requirements.Safely operate both manual and automated filling equipment as required.Complete training requirements on time and operate within all regulatory standards (e.g., USDA, FDA).Recognize deviations from accepted practice and ensure attention to detail and accuracy to avoid non-conforming products.Maintain strong attendance and punctuality.Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments.Perform preventative maintenance on labeling, heat sealing/shrinking, bagging, filling, lifting, or moving equipment.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required.Proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, and instructions.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing life science company is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Majority of responsibilities take place within a clean manufacturing environment with PPE requirements, including safety glasses, face mask, lab coat, and gloves. The role involves working with both manual and automated filling equipment in a fast-paced setting. Regular lifting and moving of materials up to 50 pounds may be required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
