As a Senior Materials/Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for strategic sourcing plan for Direct and indirect material for the Newbury Park (CA) Wafer FAB, Including Engineering Stock Room (ESR), EPI material, Chemicals, Gases, consumables, repair parts, and others. Collaborating with main owners optimizing inventory levels and tracking KPI’s, working closely with Suppliers and partnering with Sourcing, Operations, Finance, Advanced Technology Group, Quality. Through the standard MRP Process the Sr. Buyer/Planner owns validating the key planning parameters, demands and business rules and working with various teams to update the system when needed.  Manage and lead a team focused on meeting procurement strategic objectives and coordinates with quality, process, and yield engineering for qual/material approvals.

 

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve procurement policies, procedures, and systems. Collaborate with technical stakeholders to qualify alternative sources for assurance of supply Coordinate MRP demand schedules with vendor shipments Assesses demand trend, raw material shifts and capacity constraints to identify risks that could affect the continuity of the supply to prevent interruptions as well as excess to prevent obsolescence while planning a reliable and accurate supply Manage Inventory levels, Inventory accuracy, material allocations and E&O. Evaluate and measure supplier performance, conduct supplier business reviews and implement improvements. Measure spending and savings, set reduction goals and manage projects to achieve success+

 

Required Experience and Skills

Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar). Experience working in Materials Supply Planning for 5+ years Proficient with MS Office Suite, Excel expertise required, SAP or equivalent ERP working knowledge. Knowledge in, manufacturing, MRP, planning processes, inventory analysis, forecast/demand. Analytical, critical thinking, data mining and problem-solving oriented. Solid team and people skills with the ability to lead and participate Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to clarify complex situations and gather consensus with internal and external audiences. Multitasking: the ability to manage numerous activities simultaneously and reprioritize in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Effective communicator and problem solver.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $89,100 - $172,100 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
