**Job Summary:**
As a **Sr. Mechanical Engineering Designer** , you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and transition to production of electronics packaging solutions for high and low power converters. You will participate in design of new products, support initial fabrication of new products, and resolve manufacturing problems of mature products through the development of CAD models, generation of detailed part and assembly drawings, and creation and incorporation of engineering change notices. Designers partner with a team of engineers to develop high-density packaging solutions capable of meeting challenging engineering design specifications and customer requirements.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Performs a variety of complex technical design tasks using computer aided design (CAD) equipment.
+ Utilizes expansive knowledge and abilities to work on assignments that are non-routine in nature and where no established procedures may exist.
+ Works on 3D modeling and packaging of products.
+ Drawings of machine parts and sheet metal parts
+ Create wire list and wiring diagrams from Engineer inputs.
+ Generate BOM and assembly drawings.
+ Write and incorporate Engineering Change Notices.
+ Requires the use of initiative and judgment.
+ Performs other duties as required by business needs.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ 3+ years of related experience.
+ AA degree in a technically oriented discipline (Engineering Technology, Math, CAD, etc) or equivalent experience
+ Previous experience with **Autodesk Inventor** AutoCad Software
+ Familiar with Military Power Supply Packaging
+ Able to read electronic schematics.
+ Knowledge of GD&T
+ Must have strong decision-making skills and the ability to develop and express complex concepts in a clear concise manner.
+ Must be able to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Must be able to maintain orderly and accurate files/records.
+ Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Software.
+ **Eligibility Requirement:** This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
