The Creators team goal is to make Amazon the Earth’s most desired destination for commerce influencers, associates (publishers, bloggers, and more) and their content. We are a team of innovators that tackle difficult problems, and are laser-focused on building and enhancing products and experiences that drive growth for Creators. We own the Creator product suite across Amazon to ensure a cohesive experience, experiment with and align compensation structures, and launch features that reinforce feelings of achievement for Creators in addition to monetary compensation. We seek to strengthen creators’ sense of community, fandom, credibility, and provide positive feedback loops. Our BD team on Creators directly collaborates with strategic customers to build new, industry-specific partnership opportunities that directly impact and transform the way our Creators can partner, create, and earn from us at scale.

Key job responsibilities
The Sr Mgr, Tech Business Development will own the end to end strategy for our Managed Influencer Program, managing a team of (10) business development managers own direct relationships with our head cohort of influencers in the Amazon Influencer Program, and develop and execute our creator acquisition strategy, facilitate compensation innovation and experiments, and offer content inspiration and guidance to help creators build their business with Amazon. This leader will represent our managed influencers in strategic conversations with Creators product leadership, engineering teams, Corp BD, marketing, and other internal stakeholder teams to design, develop, and deliver transformative, products and partnerships that meet the needs of our Creators. They are able to both set and execute a vision, and build mechanisms to consistently iterate, evaluate, and evolve our strategy in an ever-changing environment for creators as it pertains to content development, formats, new distribution channels, and monetization. The Sr. Mgr, Tech Business development will evaluate ambiguous partnership opportunities, lead end-to-end delivery of managed influencer programs, foster productive customer relationships, drive business outcomes, and serve as an overall business lead for the company in the influencer space (US and WW). This person will be responsible for ensuring positive, productive business relationships with key strategic partners, internally and externally, to enable opportunities for growth for our managed influencers.

The ideal candidate will have launched and incubated the market and business development of industry-leading creator, ecommerce, and or social marketing technology service, has experience managing a P&L, is a self-starter, is capable of long term strategic vision and short term action, and be willing operate both tactically and strategically. As a key team member in this fast growing, exciting space you will have the opportunity to help lead the early market development efforts for new offerings, to establish wins with lighthouse customers and identify new customer opportunities and drive the creation of detailed new channel investment plans that can capture these opportunities and shape the future of our channel This role requires industry, marketing, partner, product, and business development skills.

The candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about long term durable business trends, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build actionable plans and alignment. A track record of helping establish new business via both focused incubation mechanisms and broad partnerships will be important for this role.
