Now Hiring an Sr. Microbiologist Schedule: Mon - Fri 1st shift Description: Seeking a highly skilled and independent Microbiologist to join our Life Sciences division. This role requires a professional who can work autonomously and has experience in writing microbiology Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for use by individuals without strong microbiology knowledge. Key Responsibilities: -E. Coli Culturing: Perform and oversee the culturing of E. Coli for various testing applications. -Testing and Analysis: Conduct microbiological tests and analyze results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. -SOP Development: Write and update microbiology SOPs intended for use by non-microbiologists, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding. -Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all laboratory activities comply with FDA and EPA regulations. -Independent Work: Manage and execute projects independently, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative. -Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory activities and findings. -Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the Life Sciences division’s project goals. Skills & Qualifications: -Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree w/ 5 years experience or Master’s degree/PhD in Microbiology or a related field. -Experience: Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in an FDA/EPA regulated environment. -Technical Skills: Proficiency in culturing E. Coli and conducting microbiological tests. -SOP Writing: Experience in writing microbiology SOPs for non-specialist users. -Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of FDA and EPA regulations. -Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
