Job Title: Mold Design Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mold Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plastic injection mold tool design and manufacturing. This role involves working closely with other mold/tooling designers to support the company's growth and deliver high-quality designs that meet customer requirements.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate on process and continuous improvement initiatives.Demonstrate high-level performance in delivering high-quality designs.Engage in 60-70% tool design tasks using NX or other 3D design platforms.Manage some project management responsibilities.Support internal CNC operators and programmers with tooling processes for manufacturing equipment.Handle design changes based on internal requirements or customer requests.Take care of outside work that cannot be done in-house.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.5-10+ years of experience with plastic injection mold tool design and manufacturing.Familiarity with the plastics injection molding process.CAD experience (NX preferred but other 3D design software considered).Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, IQMS, Outlook).Strong logical thinking ability and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a toolmaker is a plus.Rapid prototyping experience is a plus.Demonstrate initiative and results-oriented mindset.Willingness and ability to institute change.Work Environment

This is a new role created due to the company's growth. The Mold Design Engineer will work with three other mold/tooling designers in a 176,000 square foot manufacturing facility. The company has been in business for over 60 years and shipped 8 million mats last year. The facility is ISO and IATF registered. The company offers an employee profit-sharing program, where each employee gets a certain amount of shares based on tenure, eligible after 3 years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
