Sr. MRB Engineer - Spirit
A remote Senior Material Review Board Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lynn, MA. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. In this job your primary responsibility will be reviewing fuselage, nacelle, and pylon conditions and determining acceptability and/or repairability. You will be expected to train and mentor other engineers and facilitate timely MRB certification for yourself and others on the team.

Job Duties:
* Formulate, analyze, substantiate, and document dispositions for production non-conformances within the boundaries of Federal Aviation Regulations and OEM delegated requirements
* Utilize skills in applying systems-thinking to improve producibility of hardware and in resolution of production problems
* Possesses the ability to investigate for root cause and recommend resolution to design discrepancies
* Have the ability to manage projects and lead or participate in cross-functional teams to accomplish engineering and manufacturing initiatives
* Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers
* Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
* Provides functional guidance to less experienced staff and act in a technical leadership capacity
* Helps solve problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* Five or more years of experience substantiating Material Review Boards and/or performing airframe analysis
* Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
* Hand calculations skills and finite element analysis capabilities
* Static and fatigue analysis experience
* Composites analysis experience
* Mentoring experience
* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must have excellent computer skills
* Legal authorization to work in the US required
* infrequent travel to customer and work site locations as required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Specific experience with Boeing 737 and 787 models highly desirable
* Familiarity with composite repair and rework methodologies preferred
* Good understanding of aircraft composite structures analysis, manufacturing processes, and materials
* Previous MRB certification highly desirable


We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $115,000 to $130,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
