Sr. Network Architect/Technologist
Description We are seeking a Sr. Network Architect/Technologist to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role will focus on providing network design and architecture support on existing projects, developing strategic architecture plans, and recommending scalable, sustainable, and secure technology solutions. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Assess the current network architecture and propose improvements to enhance performance and security. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide network architecture guidance. • Design and implement scalable and reliable network solutions that align with the business needs. • Facilitate the adoption of architectural best practices and frameworks to optimize network performance. • Implement security measures to protect the network infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. • Provide immediate network design and architecture support on existing projects. • Develop a strategic architecture plan in line with the organization's business goals and technological capabilities. • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and easy reference. • Monitor network performance regularly and troubleshoot issues as needed. • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the network team to foster skill development and knowledge sharing. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Network Architect or similar role. • Expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies. • Proficiency in EO/IR systems and AB Testing. • Strong knowledge of Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments. • Experience with Design, Palo Alto Networks, and Palo Alto Firewall. • Familiarity with Check Point, White Box Testing, and Software Defined Networking. • Demonstrated experience with Global Mobility, Mobility management, and Global System for Mobile Communications. • Understanding of Mobile architecture, PCI Compliance, PCIe, and PCI. • Excellent stakeholder communication skills and experience in Stakeholder meetings and Stakeholder engagement. • Ability to create Architectural Diagrams, Architecture Design, Architectural Plan, Architectural Standards, and Architectural Drawings. • Must have a clear understanding of network deployment and management systems. • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. • Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are considered a plus.
