Sr. Network Automation Engineer **Date:** Feb 18, 2025 **Location:** Apodaca, NLE, MX, 66614 **Company:** Corning **Purpose of the position:** Automate network devices and solutions to align with Corning’s technology standards and meet the connectivity needs of our businesses. Advanced cloud platform proficiency and strong experience with infrastructure-as-code, with emphasis on Ansible, Terraform and desire to apply automation to all aspects of network cloud administration. **Responsibilities** + Solid understanding of multi-account and multi-region network topology and routing with contribution to overall architecture including intra-DC, Inter-DC and Internet Connectivity. + Provides advanced level engineering design functions + Provides trouble resolution and serves as point of technical escalation on complex problems. + Creates presentations and seeks IT and business management approval and acceptance of significant replacements or reconfigurations of major cloud and network technologies serving the enterprise. + Act as technical leader and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers within the organization. + Comprehensive knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud networking. + Advance knowledge with Infrastructure as Code and desire to apply automation to all aspects of the network cloud administration and operations. + Test, implement, document and support network solutions including LAN, WAN and Cloud. For these services the candidate will be: + Documenting technical requirements as part of overall network solutions design. + Design multi-region, multi-cloud network automation and services + Creating, reviewing and/or vetting technical functional specifications and low-level network solutions design documentation, ensuring those are complete, correct and kept current + Assisting with implementation of upgrades and enhancements to WAN services, including communications, preparation of documentation and training + Participating in root cause analysis on incidents, helping to drive identification of preventative actions meant to ensure problems don't recur, and delivering on the tasks within those actions. **Education** + 4-year degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience **Work Experience:** + 7+ years of experience analyzing requirements for implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting network devices/functions/tools/processes in a large enterprise or Telecommunications environment + 5+ years performing network automation deployments in large enterprise environment.
