Description Provide security services support for the clients Palo Alto Firewalls environment. Respond to operational requests day-to-day and act as the second level of escalation for incident resolution. Working closely with the Security Manager to review new technologies and standards and assist with the development of SOP's, runbooks, and other Operational resources for the security team. Monitor traffic logs and create security related reports, setting of network monitor thresholds and general oversight of the network security health. This Role Performs: • Design, analysis, planning, modification and maintenance of the network and security components, including network monitoring systems • Management of all security equipment supporting the enterprise for both project and operational requirements • Evaluation of new network and security technology • Analysis of firewall policies and configuration to ensure they are in use, least privilege and satisfy business requirements • Review and completion of firewall requests • Test network and security systems • Monitor and resolve network incidents on a 24X7 basis • The position maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and security hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls and gateways Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience on network & cyber security • If not bachelor’s degree, Highschool plus 15 years’ experience will suffice • PCNSA and/or PCNSE certifications • Strong experience with Palo Alto NGFW security products o Palo Alto Panorama & Firewalls o Global Protects • Experience designing and deploying security technologies • Experience designing and deploying load balancer and remote access solutions • Experience managing large application build and move projects • Strong background with Service and Change Management Desired Qualifications • Experience with Palo Alto Panorama, Firewalls, Prisma, Imperva’s WAF • Ability to present very complex technical concepts in understandable language • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) • Experience creating and presenting project plans and designs Skills Security, Information security, firewall, paloalto, PCNSA, PCNSE Top Skills Details Security,Information security,firewall,paloalto,PCNSA,PCNSE Additional Skills & Qualifications 1) The is the SME role for Palo Alto firewalls. Candidates should be very strong in all aspects of deploying and daily management of Palo Alto Firewalls and their modules. 2) Candidates should have some experience mentoring less skilled staff. 3) Candidates should have strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.4) Even though this role is a Network Security position, our expectation is that candidates will have some basic understanding of cyberthreat detection and response and general knowledge of current threats.
