Your Impact

The primary purpose of this bilingual (English/Spanish) role is to serve as the senior editorial subject matter expert on the Online Content Team. This includes responsibility for copy editing and translating messaging to create consistent and compelling brand experiences for the consumer; development, communication and adherence to the Lowe’s brand and voice; managing the content style guide; peer training, coaching and onboarding. The Sr. Online Copy Editor - Bilingual (English/Spanish) must serve as a style resource for the Copywriter and Content Strategist yet, ultimately, bear in mind what the customer may expect, interpret and be inspired to do upon reading content produced by Lowe's via online channels. The Sr. Online Copy Editor - Bilingual (English/Spanish) will keep the Lowe's brand, voice, tone and style up to date. This role engages with other stakeholders across the enterprise from Online Merchandising to Marketing, as well as across Tech, ensuring key relationships are fostered across our omni-channel partners. What You Will Do

• Copy edits customer-facing messaging and translates it effectively from English to Spanish for online initiatives, promotions and articles to ensure
materials align (voice, tone, grammar, consistency, spelling, punctuation, etc.) with the brand standards
identified in the online content style guide and other editorial resources

• Multitasks as they will be responsible for copy editing content for more than one team and project
• Balances editorial and translation tasks with required meetings
• Responsible for copy editing and translating educational nonproduct content including How-To, Buying Guide, Inspirational, Glossary and Calculator articles to guide customers with their online shopping and buying experiences
• Responsible for training junior Copy Editors on copy editing Events and Promotional copy as well as disclaimers for legal manuscripts that accompany Event and Promotional copy
• Responsible for copy editing and translating Category page and SEO copy to boost search engine rankings, as well as alt text for images to aid visually impaired customers using screen readers across our digital channels
• Responsible for using the content style guide and other enterprise-approved resources when copy editing and translating all customer-facing copy
• Responsible for regular review and maintenance of style entries housed in the style guide, ensuring proper naming conventions, organizational structure and best practices are utilized
• Weekly rotation of copy editing new Event and Promotional copy requests and updates as well as pushing copywriting requests to Copywriters and resolving any copy-related questions or issues with related stakeholders in a database; responsible for escalating platform issues to Developer
• Responsible for developing skillset to support releases and represent the business/customer experience at critical decision points
• Responsible for developing skillset to identify business impacts/outages, participate in demos, accept known issues/defects from Product Management
• Responsible for developing skillset to document and communicate business impacts, outages, and moratoriums, providing business updates regarding the release status
• Weekly rotation of 24/7 support; primary person for copy editing team
• Create and manage training development documentation; conduct team training and directly aid new hires in training process

Required Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, English, Education

• Demonstrated fluency in English and Spanish languages
• 3 Years of advertising or marketing agency experience; newspaper or magazine copy editing; or ecommerce
