Job Description
Position Summary
The Operations Senior Analyst is responsible for completing all required analysis and reporting related to the quarterly reforecasts and Business Plan in an accurate and timely manner through collaboration with other sector FP&A personnel and key customers throughout and across the organization. The FP&A Operations Senior Analyst completes financial analysis for the most complex pieces of the Forest City and Sports & Entertainment portfolios. The FP&A Operations Senior Analyst will coordinate with the FP&A team to complete assigned tasks related to the overall investment returns model, property valuations, scenario analysis, reporting and ad hoc analysis and will also communicate with FP&A customers in sector operations/AM, reporting groups, accounting, department heads and executives. The senior position acts as the go-to resource for the Director/Manager to assist with special projects, customer support and ad hoc analyses as well as developing the operations analysts within the group.
Essential Job Functions
1. Maintain assigned portions of the overall property level cash return model, which serves as the basis for returns and valuation updates provided to the TopCo investment or other investments (Sports & Entertainment platform) as assigned. Input data and run scenarios, sensitivity and variance analyses as required and requested by the business and/or executive team. Coordinate with Sector teams to ensure appropriate inputs to the Model as well as any Sector level requests for Model outputs. Respond to ad hoc requests and questions related to the cash return model. Create materials for internal review meetings and presentations. (30%)
2. Enter data and validate projections in the system of record, along with additional analysis as required. Run financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual results) for various department heads and Operations and Executive customers. (25%)
3. Prepare assigned sections of the quarterly valuation file, including operating metrics used to support the reporting of the quarterly valuations. Assist in preparation of quarterly valuation presentation materials. Respond to requests from acrosss the organization related to Fund and Co-Investor reporting and questions. (20%)
4. Serve as liaison with outside brokers to provide requested appraisal inforamtion for a selection of properties on a quaretlery basis to assis with Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) process. (15%)
Education
This position requires a(n) Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Work Experience
