Sr. Operations Associate- R&pD Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Operations Associate to join our Research Operations group. You will be responsible for leading, facilitating communication, developing and implementing policies and guidelines on behalf of the R&pD Operations function. You will be responsible for scheduling, attending, meeting logistics, capturing and driving required actions items, and ensuring alignment with all budget requirements as the liaison with the administrative community, TFA’s, Tech Centers as well as internal collaborators, external customers, research IT, legal and contract department.

As a Senior Operations Associate, a typical day might include:

Leading and completing responsibilities independently with awareness of internal/external interdependencies

Spearheading deep dives into budget analysis to identify outliers to ensure enhanced compliance across our R&pD activities

Providing advanced operational and logistical support with a focus on continuous improvement for processes

Anticipating and tracking operational and tactical risk while providing solutions

Serving as the primary point of contact between the R&pD Operations teams and the administrative community; responsible for coordinating meeting schedules, capturing and driving required actions items, and ensuring alignment with all budget requirement

Facilitating communication and collaboration to achieve organizational goals

Leading the negotiations and strategic development of vendor bids and contracts for R&pD events, ensuring the company is making financially prudent spending decisions

Developing policies and guidelines to align with global development operations while identifying areas for increased efficiency

Fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders on project and/or program teams and across departments

Have the demonstrated ability to understand and independently act upon information or issues that have potential down-stream impact on other functions and teams

Have excellent Project Management Skills

Have outstanding written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills

Can manage multiple projects and priorities with exceptional organizational and time management skills (both project and self)

Are highly collaborative within the department as well as cross-functionally

Can conduct tasks relevant to smooth meeting execution including calendar invites, room reservation, and minute-taking & follow up on action items

Are skilled in database management

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS degree and 5+ years of relevant experience. We need someone who is creative, collaborative, and has outstanding organizational skills. Should have a background in finance & business administration, knowledge of computer packages, technical skills, programming skills, Confluence, Jira, SLIMS, Sharepoint, Microsoft Office, Outlook, FileMaker Pro. Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly evolving research environment is highly desirable.

Salary Range (annually)

$82,600.00 - $134,800.00
