JOB TITLE: Sr. Oracle Applications Developer JOB TYPE: Full Time - Remote ABOUT YOU: Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or leading development as part of a team. The Senior Oracle Applications Developer will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and supporting all Oracle EBS applications with a focus on financial applications. This role is ideal for an Oracle Developer seeking to leverage their expertise in Oracle Financials to drive business success. Strong analytical ability to perform full range of system design and programming responsibilities utilizing state of the art concepts, techniques and languages. Experience in troubleshooting, debugging and resolving application issues. Ability to test and validate application changes in collaboration with the business analysts and key business users. Knowledge of business management concepts, techniques and functions. Knowledge of project management techniques and agile development methodologies. Ability to lead small projects or development efforts. Proficient in PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports. Knowledge/Experience with Unix Shell scripting preferred. Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF), BI Publisher and Workflow is preferred. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements affecting financial systems. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Attention to Detail. Ability to translate high level requirements into technical designs and specifications. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology. Ability to accurately estimate deliverables requirements into development hours. Proven track record of working in large-scale, high transaction volume Oracle EBS environments. Great Communication Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and present technical information to peer team members and business users. Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for application solutions. Strong leadership capabilities, self-motivated, pleasantly aggressive, and realistically ambitious with high personal ethics. Experience. Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS development with a strong focus on Financial modules. 5+ years of experience developing and managing mission-critical applications (Ecommerce, ERP, manufacturing systems, financial/analytic applications, etc.). Experience using source control systems. Demonstrated experience working as part of a development team. Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a project team, as well as working with confidential material and information. Education. BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field with an analytical discipline. YOU WILL: Support. Works closely with business and other team members to estimate, design, build, test, and debug solutions that meet document business requirements. Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and be open and responsive to change. Advise. Provide accurate and effective direction and technical expertise to less experienced personnel. Direct, instruct and coach assigned team members in order to meet project goals. Strengthen. Remain knowledgeable about current and new technology related to all aspects of information processing by researching technical materials, attending seminars, staying up-to-date on release notes and modules, training classes and consulting with personnel from other industries. Lead or serve on IT ad hoc committees as assigned. This may include research, problem solving, information organization and documentation. Develop & Customize. Design, develop, and maintain Oracle Financial applications (e.g., AP, AR, GL, FA, OIC) to align with business requirements. Create and modify Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL packages, interfaces, and workflows. Customize Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules while adhering to Oracle development standards. Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides. Integrate. Develop and manage integrations between Oracle EBS applications and both internal and external systems using APIs, Web Services, and SQL Loader. Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems. Problem Solve. Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving Oracle application issues. Collaborate with functional teams to address system gaps, enhancements, and new functionality requests. Monitor and optimize system performance. Stay updated on Oracle best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends. Enhance. Assist in Oracle EBS support and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to key Oracle EBS applications. Test and validate application changes in collaboration with the IT Business Analysts and key business users. Typical/expected % of overnight travel. None to limited.
